That chip on my diner mug reminds me of a bad shift I walked out on

I was working the 6am breakfast rush at Mel's on Route 9 back in 2018. A customer threw a half-eaten omelet at me because his eggs were runny. I grabbed my favorite mug off the counter, it hit the tile floor and chipped, but I kept it. Now every time I drink from it I remember I quit that job the next day and never looked back. Has anyone else kept a mug from a job that went sideways?
