That chip in my mug saved my coffee from a cold commute
Last Tuesday I hit a pothole on Route 31 near Elkhart and my old blue mug, chipped on the rim since 2019, sloshed coffee everywhere except onto my lap, that jagged edge caught the flow just right. My coworker laughed and asked why I don't get a new one, but this thing has seen me through 40 hours of overtime weeks and one blown transmission. Has anyone else had a flaw in their mug accidentally work out in their favor, or am I just lucky?}

Did that chip happen to be right where your lip sits too? I've got a green mug with a crack near the handle that does the same thing, it slows the pour down just enough when I'm walking to the truck. The handle got loose back in 2021 so I wrapped it with electrical tape and honestly it grips better than any fancy mug I've bought since. Something about a beat up mug just knowing how to behave after all those miles.
