Spent $60 on a "chip repair pen" for my favorite mug and watched it fail in 2 days
Bought a ceramic repair kit on Amazon for $60 because my dad's old diner mug from Toledo had a rough chip on the rim and I didn't want to toss it. The stuff flaked off after 2 washes and now the chip looks worse, plus I'm out the money and the mug is still sitting on the shelf. Anyone got a fix that actually holds up, or am I stuck just drinking from the other side?
Wait, was it actually a ceramic repair kit or just a paint pen? Most of those "chip repair pens" are basically just glaze paint and they'll never hold up to washing. You need actual food safe epoxy for a chip that deep.
