I finally get why my grandma told me to keep my chipped mug.
My grandma gave me this old ceramic mug with a tiny chip on the rim like 10 years ago. She said it reminds you that things don't have to be perfect to be useful. I laughed it off back then but I kept the mug anyway because she gave it to me. Last week I dropped it on the tile floor and I thought for sure it would shatter. It just bounced and got a bigger chip on the side. Now I drink my morning coffee out of it every day and that chip makes me remember her saying that. Has anyone else had a mug that survived way worse than you expected?

Ever try super glue on that second chip? Works until you forget and put it in the microwave.

Just saw a youtube video where a guy tested that exact trick and it held up surprisingly well in a regular bowl but the second he hit the microwave the whole thing went up in smoke. Crazy how something so simple can backfire so fast. I gotta admit richard110 you made me laugh with that microwave part cause I've totally done something similar with a cracked mug and forgot about it. Super glue is handy but man you gotta label that stuff or something.
