Debate: Do you patch a cracked mug or toss it?

My favorite diner mug got a hairline crack last week from a sudden temp change. I see two camps: some superglue it and keep going, others say cracks trap bacteria and it's toast. Which side are you on and what's your fix?

Glued a favorite mug back together once and it held for two years until I dropped it in the parking lot. Felt like I lost a friend, but that's the risk you take with cracks.
