Pro tip: my flue brush got 3x faster after I started counting strokes instead of scrubbing blind
I used to just shove the brush up a 20 foot liner and go at it until my arms gave out, which usually took me about 25 minutes per flue. Last month I started counting 10 strokes per section and moving up methodically, and the same flue came out clean in 8 minutes with way less soot left behind. Anybody else track their stroke count, or am I the only one out here doing chimney math at 7am?
