Spent 2 years fighting my 6 inch brush up a masonry flue with the rods dead vertical. Guy named Ray who's been sweeping since 1979 watched me for 5 minutes and said run them at an angle, let the flue walls carry the weight. My arm stopped hurting after a week and I'm finishing jobs 15 minutes faster. Any of you got a small trick like that you picked up from an old timer?
