Just realized my telescoping rod got stuck halfway up a 30 foot flue in Boulder last Tuesday

I was working on a old house in Boulder and my rod jammed solid about 15 feet up. Couldn't push it up or pull it back down for nearly an hour. Has anyone else dealt with a rod getting stuck like that and found a trick to free it without damaging the liner?

30 foot flue?" That's a heck of a reach, I can barely see my own roof from the ground. Definitely would've made me reconsider my whole setup for the day.
