I finally gave up on my old brush and pole system after a job in Duluth
For years, I swore by the classic sectional rods and a stiff wire brush, thinking it gave me more control. That changed last fall when I had to clean a 40-foot flue with two sharp bends in a Duluth lake house. I switched to a rotary whip system with a flexible hose and a powerful drill, and it cut my time in half. The old way just can't handle those tight modern builds. Anyone else make the switch and find it saves their back?

Old gear still works fine for most jobs.

Man, that Duluth job sounds brutal. I had a similar wake-up call with an old brick ranch full of weird angles. The new gear just bends where the old stuff would snap, it's a total game changer.
