Burned $80 on a so-called 'professional' creosote log last month
That thing did absolutely nothing for my buildup and just left a weird sticky film inside the flue. Has anyone else had better luck with a different brand or is this just a scam across the board?

Chuck that stuff in the trash and get a good chimney sweep instead. Those logs are junk and can actually make creosote harder to remove.

Disagree - those logs are fine for a quick clean between sweeps if you follow the directions.
