A homeowner in Denver changed my mind about creosote logs

Had a customer last Tuesday who swore by those chemical creosote logs, said they cut his sweeping bill in half over 5 years. I always thought they were a joke, but he pulled out his phone and showed me photos of his flue liner, clean as a whistle. Anyone else ever seen real proof those things actually work, or did he just get lucky?

Those logs mask buildup more than remove it, one clean photo doesn't tell the whole story.
