A guy in Tulsa told me my brush was 'too soft for real soot' and it bugged me for 2 weeks
I was working a job in Tulsa last spring and a retired sweep watched me go at a flue with a poly brush and said 'that thing won't touch real soot, you need wire.' I brushed it off at the time but then I started noticing my creosote jobs were taking twice as long, so I switched to a wire brush on the hard stuff and the difference was nuts. Now I keep both on the truck, but I'm wondering how you all decide when to go wire vs poly?
