Saw a line cook in Austin use a squeeze bottle for plating sauces and it clicked for me

I always thought those squeeze bottles were just for show. Then I spent a weekend in Austin last month and watched a cook at a taco joint drizzle crema with one. He had four bottles on his station and could switch between sauces in under 2 seconds. It made my old spoon drizzle method look slow and messy. I ordered a set of 6 bottles that same night. For $12 it sped up my prep and plating by about 15 minutes per shift. Anyone else switched to squeeze bottles and never looked back?

Oh man, hard disagree from me. Those bottles just mean more plastic crap to wash and they clog up constantly when your sauce has any texture at all. Give me a spoon and a steady hand any day over fiddling with squeeze bottles.

Honestly, same. I was a spoon guy forever until I tried one for hot sauce on tacos at home. Now I can't go back. Way less mess and way faster clean up for me.
