Just found out that 40% of restaurant orders are forgotten on Friday nights and it hit me hard

I was reading a food service industry report last week from the National Restaurant Association. It said that 40% of kitchen errors like forgotten tickets happen during peak rushes on Fridays. That stat blew my mind because I always thought it was just my luck. Has anyone else seen that number and started changing how they prep for weekends?

...and that's exactly why I stopped going out for dinner on Fridays altogether, honestly. I mean I've been burned so many times waiting 45 minutes for a burger that I just gave up. It's like restaurants are intentionally trying to make you hate them on the busiest night of the week. Now I just cook at home or order from places that don't do Friday rushes, like that hole in the wall Thai spot that's dead every weekend. The weird part is my buddy works at a steakhouse and says they actually double check tickets during Friday rushes now after too many complaints. So maybe the 40% number is actually helping places get their act together, even if it makes the rest of us feel like we're cursed.
