Hit 200 covers solo last Saturday and almost walked out
I've been doing this 8 years and never thought I'd be that guy, but the ticket printer wouldn't stop and I had no backup. Has anyone else hit a number that made them question if they're in the right line of work?

200 covers is a lot of cash for one night, but it might be worth taking a step back. Working that many tables often means the restaurant is incredibly busy, which can also mean the tips are bigger than usual. Maybe the issue isn't the line of work itself, but the place you're doing it. A good gig with solid support staff makes a world of difference.

Oh man @david123 you're totally right, with 200 covers I'd probably forget my own name halfway through the shift! Does your place have good support or is it all on the server?
