PSA: Free park picnics beat fancy dinners and I have the grocery receipt to prove it
Everyone keeps posting about $40 escape rooms as a "cheap" date, but my partner and I switched from eating out twice a month to packing a cooler for the park in Fort Wayne, and our date spending dropped from about $180 a month to $25, mostly on cheese and fruit. The change happened over 3 months and the big thing was just picking a spot with a real bench, not a blanket on wet grass. What free spots near you actually have seating, because our go-to got taken over by a soccer league last weekend?
