My $0 movie night at the library beat every fancy dinner we tried
Two years ago my girlfriend and I were doing $60 dinners every Friday, and honestly half the time we were too tired to even enjoy it. Then in March we tried the library's free movie night in Rochester, just a folding chair and some popcorn we snuck in. Now we go twice a month and it costs us nothing, and we actually talk on the walk home instead of zoning out at a table. The whole 'you gotta spend money to show you care' thing is a lie. Anyone else ditch pricey dates for free stuff and never go back?
Did you notice how we do this with everything, not just dates? Like people pay for gyms they never go to when walking outside is free. We just got sold this idea that things only count if money changes hands.
