Spent 3 weeks fighting rust on my grandma's skillet before realizing I was the problem
So I inherited this old Wagner skillet from my grandma's house in Decatur and it had a quarter-sized rust patch on the cooking surface, and I figured a couple rounds of scrubbing and reseasoning would fix it. Three weeks later I had stripped and reseasoned it five times, the rust kept coming back in the exact same spot, and I was about to give up until my neighbor pointed out I was drying it face down on a dish towel that stayed damp underneath. Turns out I was basically re-rusting it every single night, so how do you all dry your skillets after washing?
