Check out the old lodge skillet at that antique shop on main street

I saw a beat up 10 inch Lodge from the 50s at this shop downtown, listed for $45 with a crack in the handle. Is that thing worth rescuing or just a waste of good grease?

Yo I literally saw the exact same model at an antique shop in my town last month. They wanted $50 for a 10 inch with a cracked handle too, and I passed on it. But I saw a guy on YouTube fix one by sanding down the crack and seasoning it heavy with crisco, and it turned out fine for him. For $45 it's a gamble but if you got the time and don't mind a project it could be a cool piece for camping or backup use. I'd offer $30 and see if they bite, worst case you use it for cornbread or something.
