Wasted $400 on a power stretcher I barely use now
Bought a fancy power stretcher back in 2019 for big commercial jobs, but now I'm mostly doing residential rooms under 12x12 and it just sits in the truck. Anybody else got tools they splurged on that ended up collecting dust?

Man that power stretcher thing is a classic trap. Its funny how we convince ourselves we need the pro gear for jobs that never actually come. What gets me is how much space they take up too. A manual stretcher folds down smaller and honestly works fine for most rooms under 15 feet. The real trick nobody talks about is just reselling the thing while its still worth something. Put it on marketplace for 250 bucks and take the loss. Better than letting it rot in your truck bed taking up room and making you feel guilty every time you open the tailgate.

Yeah coleman.henry you're right about the reselling part, I used to think keeping gear forever was the smart move but watching it collect dust changed my mind. A power stretcher loses value fast once the new model comes out, so flipping it quick makes way more sense than letting it sit. I'm honestly rethinking my whole storage setup now thanks to that take lol.
