Switched from power stretcher to knee kicker for tight hallways and never looked back
Tried doing a narrow hallway in a 1920s house last month with the power stretcher and fought with it for an hour before switching to a knee kicker and finished it in 20 minutes clean, anyone else find certain tools just don't fit certain spaces?

Dude yes! I had almost the exact same thing happen in a Victorian row house. The power stretcher kept hitting the baseboards and I couldn't get any tension right. Grabbed my old knee kicker and it just locked into place on the first try. Sometimes the old school stuff is just better for tight spots.

Wait, hold up. "Just locked into place on the first try"? With a knee kicker? I don't buy it. That thing has always been a coin toss for me, especially on old hardwood floors where it just slides around. You must have some kind of magic knees or something because mine always leaves a gap or pops a tack strip loose. I'm genuinely impressed and a little suspicious at the same time.
