Swapped from foam to telescoping poles for stairs and wow what a difference

I used to fight with foam padding on stairs for years. Always getting bunched up or not cutting clean. Last month at a job in Nashville I borrowed a guy's telescoping pole setup and it cut my time on a 15 step run by almost an hour. No more wrestling with foam trying to keep it straight. Has anyone else had better luck with one method over the other?

Took me three tries not to smack myself in the face with the pole, worth it though.

Wait, did you finally nail it down or is the pole still winning the fight? My friend Beth spent like an hour at my place once trying to do a pole trick and ended up with a bruise on her forehead that looked like a weird purple star. But she said it was all worth it too, so @jana_hill27 you're definitely not alone in the pole face battle.
