Noticed a detail in a hotel lobby carpet that changed my install approach
I was staying at a Marriott outside Omaha last weekend and the lobby carpet had this pattern that looked busy but the seams were practically invisible. I got down and looked at how they laid it, the nap direction was consistent even around the columns. It made me realize Ive been rushing my pattern matching on commercial jobs, especially where the light hits different. Has anyone else studied hotel carpet installs and picked up a trick that translated to your own work?
