Just spent an hour pulling up carpet that was glued down with construction adhesive
Last Thursday I walked into a house built in 1978 and whoever installed that shag back in the day used liquid nails on the whole floor. Took me three times as long to get it up and my knees are still killing me. Any of you guys got a trick for dealing with carpet that's been super glued to a subfloor?

Honestly, yeah, glued down carpet is a special kind of hell. I've been there with the liquid nails situation and it's just brutal on your back and knees. My only advice is to rent one of those power scrapers from the hardware store, it saves your body a lot of wear and tear.
