I thought power stretchers were overkill until I did a 1,200 sq ft commercial job in an old building
My first few years I just used knee kickers for everything. Figured power stretchers were just for the big crews with something to prove. Then I got a call to do this old warehouse turned office space up in Portland. Concrete slab underneath, carpet was a heavy commercial grade. After the third time having to restretch a section that kept buckling, I finally borrowed my buddy's power stretcher. Night and day difference. That carpet laid flat and stayed flat. Made me feel pretty dumb for all the callbacks I probably could have avoided. Has anyone else gone years using the wrong tool because you thought the fancy one was just for show?
