Checked out that new carpet showroom off I-35 and noticed their samples all had the same backing

Went to the Express Flooring place in Round Rock during a supply run and saw every display roll had this shiny gray backing that felt totally different from the standard jute I usually get, has anyone else run into backing that doesn't grip the tack strip right?

I used to think all carpet backing was the same, but that stuff definitely changed my mind.

Funny you say that @the_jordan, I've had nothing but trouble with it peeling up.
