I laughed at the guy on my crew when he pulled out a cheap orange speed square from the big box store, because I'd been using my old aluminum Swanson for years and figured plastic would flex on every cut. That thing survived a full week of framing in 105 degree heat, and the numbers on it are still dead on when I check it against my framing square. Anybody else got a cheap tool that somehow outlasted the fancy one?
