Spent $200 on a laser level and it paid for itself in one afternoon
I bought one of those Bosch GLL30 self leveling lasers last month after fighting with a bubble level for way too long on a kitchen cabinet install in Denver. Cost me about $200 at the hardware store. First job with it I hung 12 upper cabinets in 4 hours flat instead of the usual 6 hours. I used to mark lines with a level and pencil and always ended up with some cabinets a hair off. The laser showed me exactly where everything needed to go and I didn't have to redo a single cabinet. No more squinting at tiny bubbles or fighting with crooked walls. Has anyone else switched to a laser and wondered how you ever did trim work or cabinets without one?

Same here. The GLL30 cut my cabinet install time in half.
