Rant: lost a whole day's work cause I trusted old plywood

Last Tuesday I was framing out a closet in a house near Dayton, used some 3/4 ply I'd had stacked in the shed since spring. Didn't check for moisture damage and the whole sheet delaminated when I tried to screw in the first stud. Anyone else ever get burned by storage mistakes like this?

Man, did you at least eye the edges before you grabbed it?

Did you actually check the plywood before you used it or just assume it was fine after sitting in a damp shed since spring? That kind of moisture damage is pretty obvious once you look at the edges.
