Rant: I swore by my old corded framing nailer until a rainy Tuesday in Tacoma
The extension cord kept failing in the mud, so I borrowed a buddy's battery model and drove 800 nails without a single jam. Anyone have a reliable brand they'd actually trust for daily abuse?

Yeah, that rain and mud combo kills cords every time. What kind of work were you doing, like sheathing or actual framing? Makes a difference for how much power you really need from a battery gun.

Honestly ivan40, gotta push back hard on that. Battery tools have come so far that arguing for cords now feels like clinging to a landline. Framing all day with my DeWalt 20v and it never quits, even driving 3 inch screws into wet lumber. The whole rain and mud thing is worse with a cord because you're also worrying about a live wire in a puddle, that's a safety nightmare. Tbh, the freedom to move around without hunting for an outlet or running a generator is a total game changer, power just isn't an issue anymore.
