Just realized my shop lighting change made a huge difference in glue-ups

Swapped out the old fluorescent tubes for LED panels over my workbench in Columbus last month, and the shadows are just gone. I never noticed how much I was fighting to see squeeze-out on dark walnut until the new lights came in. Now I catch gaps way earlier, like before the clamps even go on. Anyone else had a lighting upgrade change how they work, or am I just late to this party?

Saw a guy on a woodworking forum talk about this exact thing a while back, said he went from 60W bulbs to 5000K LED strips and it was like a whole new shop. I think color temp matters just as much as brightness, warm light hides a ton of defects on darker woods. Now I'm eyeballing those thin LED bars to sneak under my upper cabinets, tired of squinting at glue lines on mahogany.
