Inspector's chisel comment made me go back to hand sharpening

I spent years using a bench grinder on my chisels, figured it was fast and good enough... then an inspector watched me work a jamb in Cleveland and said my cuts looked crushed, not cut. He told me to try a 400 grit stone and feel the burr instead of eyeballing it. Now I touch up every chisel by hand before a job, but does anyone else find it eats up way more time in the morning?

My buddy swore by his grinder until a job site callout cost him a whole afternoon fixing it.
