I finally broke down and bought a laser level after 12 years of strings
Started on a big kitchen remodel in Austin last month and the string method cost me a full day of redoing cabinet lines after I pulled the wrong chalk mark. The new green laser paid for itself in one afternoon, but now I'm wondering if I've been the stubborn one this whole time... anyone else still running string and chalk out of pride, or have you seen the light?

Isn't it funny how we’ll hold onto the old way just because we already know it, even when the new tool is clearly better? I did the same thing with a drill driver for years, fighting with a screwdriver like it was some kind of badge of honor. Turns out, the stubbornness was just fear of learning something new, and once you give in, you wonder why you waited so long.
