DAE see people not accounting for wood movement on wide table tops?

I keep seeing builds online where they glue up a 36 inch wide slab with no breadboard ends or slotted hardware. It's gonna crack or warp within a year for sure. What's your go-to method to keep things flat?

Overthinking it, wood moves less than you think.

My shop has a 40 inch wide maple workbench top I glued up ten years ago with no special hardware. It's still dead flat, sitting in a room with a wood stove. Maybe we get lucky with stable wood around here.
