Vent: That year I spent 3 months at a sales job in Phoenix before realizing cold calling was just not for me

Last month I finally quit after my manager kept pushing me to hit 50 calls a day even though I felt like I was bothering people, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has walked away from a role that just didn't fit their personality even if the money was decent.

Ugh, 50 calls a day was my exact breaking point too. I lasted maybe two and a half months at a similar phone gig and I felt like I was just being a nuisance to everyone I dialed. The money was actually pretty good but I was so drained and grumpy every night that it wasn't worth it. Walking away from that paycheck was hard but I sleep way better now.

Cold calling sucks but 50 calls a day is barely trying. Some people can't handle a little rejection.
