Three years ago I walked out of a job interview halfway through

It was at a marketing firm downtown, and the guy kept cutting me off to answer his phone. I was younger then and thought I had to take whatever came my way. Last month I turned down a similar offer because I knew the vibe was off from the start. Funny how a little experience changes what you'll put up with, right? Has anyone else just known when a job wasn't going to work out within the first ten minutes?

Was the guy answering his phone during your interview? That's such a disrespectful move. I've bailed on two interviews for similar reasons. The first one the manager kept checking his watch like I was wasting his time. The second one had a receptionist who told me "good luck" in a way that made it clear nobody lasted there. You learn to trust that gut feeling fast.

That receptionist comment would've sent me packing too. My question is what finally made you get up and walk out on the marketing firm guy? Was it a specific phone call or just the overall pattern of disrespect building up until you couldn't take it anymore? I'm curious because I had a similar breaking point once where the interviewer took a personal call about dinner plans, and that was the moment my brain just went nope.
