The foreman at a site in Tulsa mentioned a guy who got a $6 raise by asking for a meeting instead of a review
I was pouring a driveway in Tulsa two months back and the foreman got to talking about guys who move up fast. He mentioned one guy who skipped the yearly review and just asked his boss for a 20 minute meeting to walk through what he'd taken on that year. The guy got a $6 an hour bump because he showed the extra work on paper instead of hoping someone noticed. I've been on the tools 14 years and never once did that. Curious if anyone has set up a meeting like that and what you put in front of your boss.
