Rant: my resume went from zero calls to 3 interviews after I cut it from 2 pages to 1
I was sending out the same two page resume for about 5 months and got nothing back, maybe one callback out of 40 apps. Last month I chopped it down to one page and only kept stuff from the last 6 years. Within 9 days I had 3 interview requests, including one for a shop lead job in Mesquite. Turns out the hiring manager told me my old version buried the certs under a wall of job duties from 2014. Has anyone else had luck trimming instead of padding? I keep wondering if I should go even tighter.
