PSA: My resume got shredded by a hiring manager in Austin last month

I was at this coffee shop near UT Austin applying for a project coordinator gig. Lady next to me glanced at my laptop and said 'your resume is gonna get tossed in 5 seconds.' She was right - I had this huge paragraph at the top nobody would read. I cut it down to 3 bullet points and got a call back 2 days later. Has anyone else had a random stranger give them real feedback that actually worked?

Ha! Saw a guy at Target tell someone their cover letter font was terrible. Worked too.

Just told a cashier their handwriting was better than my doctor's and they laughed their head off.
