Pro tip: That $500 online 'certification' from a place called CareerBoost Pro was a total scam.
I paid for their 'Advanced Project Management' course last month, thinking it would look good on my resume. The content was just recycled blog posts and the 'certificate' they emailed is a PDF anyone could make. I'm out the cash and it taught me to check reviews on sites like Course Report first. Has anyone found a legit, affordable course for project management skills?

Ugh, I used to think those quick online certs were a smart shortcut. Getting burned by a different shady site last year was a real wake-up call. Now I only look at programs linked to actual colleges or big tech companies.

My buddy Jake spent $800 on a "data analytics certification" from some random site. He finished the course in a weekend, but the certificate looked fake and no employer took it seriously. It was basically a PDF anyone could make in Word. He felt so cheated he didn't tell anyone for months. Now he checks the program's website for a real street address and phone number before he pays a cent.
