I finally stopped chasing job titles after a wake up call in Denver
Everyone says you have to climb the ladder, but I figured out last year that was wrong for me. I took a "prestigious" manager role at a company in Denver and lasted 7 months before I quit. The tipping point was when my old teammate, Rachel, told me I looked miserable over coffee, and she was right. I went back to being an individual worker and my pay barely dropped. Has anyone else turned down a promotion and been happier for it?
