Tape brand I swore by actually failed a stress test
Ngl I always thought duct tape was duct tape until I watched a guy on YouTube test 12 brands with a hanging weight rig. The cheap stuff failed at 8 pounds, but the 3M stuff held 35. Now I'm swapping out all the tape on my fort builds.

Man I had the exact same wake up call last year. I was using this no name brand tape from the dollar store to seal some boxes for moving and everything came apart in the rain. Switched to Gorilla Tape after that and it held my kid's broken trampoline together for like six months. Once you see the real difference with a proper test you can never go back to the cheap stuff. I bet half the people using duct tape are just buying whatever is cheapest and have no clue how bad it actually is.
