Stop using tape for your fort corners - I switched to hot glue and it's a game changer
I built a 3-story fort last weekend for my kid's birthday party and the corners kept collapsing after 20 minutes. Duct tape would peel off and masking tape just failed completely. I grabbed my wife's low-temp hot glue gun and ran a bead along each seam inside the box flaps. Let it cool for 30 seconds before stacking and that thing held solid for 6 hours until we took it down. Anyone else tried glue over tape or am I late to this party?

Low temp guns are the move for sure. Regular hot glue can warp thin cardboard if you're not careful, the low temp stuff is way more forgiving on box flaps. Tried using it on a fort that had a window cutout and the frame stayed rigid even with a blanket draped over it. Three drops of glue per corner and you're golden, beats wrestling with tape rolls any day.

Right! Hot glue is the secret weapon for forts. I did the same thing last summer for a blanket fort that kept collapsing and it held up all afternoon while the kids watched movies inside. So much better than fighting with tape every 10 minutes!
