Spent $80 on a fancy box cutter attachment, still just use my keys
Saw this laser guided cutting wheel thing for cardboard on sale and figured it would change my fort game. Got it home, spent 20 minutes trying to attach it to my blade, then it fell apart on the second cut. My $2 key from the junk drawer slices through Amazon boxes way cleaner, no joke. Anyone else blow cash on a tool that ended up being worse than the free option?

...and honestly that tracks because my dumb ass bought a thermal knife for cutting foam once. Paid like sixty bucks because some YouTuber made it look effortless. First time I used it, I melted the foam into this weird plastic mess and nearly burned my coffee table. My old steak knife from the kitchen did a better job and it cost me nothing. I swear these gadget companies just prey on people like me who think better tools fix bad habits. Now I keep a stack of old gift cards in my junk drawer for opening boxes, works every single time for free.
