My uncle's duct tape advice saved a fort from a toddler attack

Tbh my uncle swore by taping every single flap down with duct tape before layering boxes. Took my 3 year old nephew 20 minutes to dismantle my last fort, so I tried it this weekend with a 6 box castle setup. That kid threw himself at the walls for half an hour and barely made a dent. Has anyone else had to toddler-proof their forts with extra reinforcement?

Oh man, this is genius! It's like the same rule my dad uses for literally everything, if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing lol. Duct tape is basically the adult version of those corner protectors you put on tables, you think it's overkill until a kid proves you wrong. I swear toddlers are like tiny little engineers, they find the weak spot in anything. My buddy used packing tape on his kid's play tent and the little dude just found the zipper instead. But honestly, once you start thinking about reinforcing stuff like this, you see it everywhere, like how people zip tie their grill covers down before a storm. So your buddy's kid just went straight for the zipper instead of the tape... does that mean we're all just wasting our time reinforcing the wrong spots? I mean, kids have this way of finding the one thing you didn't think about, and then it's back to square one anyway. It's like that whole fix the weak point thing only works until they get bored and make a new weak point on purpose. You gotta wonder if the real trick is just making the thing so boring to mess with that they lose interest entirely. Or maybe you just accept that chaos wins and buy extra tape. What's the point of overdoing it if they're just gonna outsmart you anyway?
