Just realized duct tape ruins cardboard after a few days
I used duct tape to hold my son's fort together last weekend and by Tuesday the tape had pulled the top layer right off the cardboard, so now I'm switching to painter's tape but has anyone found a better option that doesn't peel?

Hold on, I gotta disagree with you here. Duct tape peeling the top layer off is actually a feature not a bug because it means the bond was strong enough to hold your fort together in the first place. If you use painter's tape that doesn't peel, your son's fort is gonna collapse the second a fan turns on or he bumps into it. I've had painter's tape fail on cardboard after just a few hours because it's made for walls not for holding heavy stuff together. You're trading a little cosmetic damage for real structural integrity, and honestly a ripped cardboard fort just looks battle tested.

Yeah man, totally... duct tape ripping the cardboard just means it's actually doing its job.
