Built a three-story fort last weekend and the tape gave out on the second floor...

I used duct tape like I always do but I guess the weight was just too much for the corners. The whole thing sagged and collapsed around midnight. My kid was pretty chill about it but I learned I need to reinforce the joints with some kind of corner bracket or extra cardboard layers next time. Has anyone else had a fort just fall apart on them mid-build?

Oh man, that's rough! Duct tape can only hold so much weight before it lets go. I bet corner brackets would have saved the whole thing from caving in.

Duct tape's pretty solid for quick fixes though.
