That fancy titanium camp cup I swore was a gimmick
I bought a Snow Peak Ti-Double 450 mug last summer just to see what the hype was about. Turns out it actually keeps my coffee hot for the whole morning, not just 10 minutes like my old plastic cup. Did a 5 day trip in the Smokies and it held up fine to getting knocked around on rocks. Has anyone else caved on an expensive piece of gear and been surprised it worked?

Oh man, did I ever cave on something like that? I bought a Mystery Ranch coulee backpack last year (the 25L one) and I was so sure it was just overpriced hype. But the frame actually transfers weight to my hips better than any pack I've used, and it's been on like 15 trips now with zero wear. It's kind of annoying when the expensive stuff actually earns its price tag, you know? Makes it harder to go back to the basic stuff.

Read a review that said the Coulee is basically a miniaturized version of their hunting packs and that's why the frame works so well. Makes sense to me after trying one on at REI, the hip belt felt way more solid than the Osprey I had. Kind of sucks when the expensive thing is actually worth it.
