Nearly got fined $200 at Yellowstone because some ranger saw my old camp stove

Guy at the check-in station told me my 6 year old Coleman couldn't pass the new fire safety rules, and he wasn't kidding about writing me up. Has anyone else had a ranger call out their gear for being too old?

Tbh my camp stove's so old it probably fails safety rules from two decades ago.

Classic case of rules getting stricter while old gear gets grandfathered into irrelevance. Feels like every part of life has that gap between what used to work and what's suddenly a liability.
