My sleeping bag liner was backwards for 5 years until a ranger laughed at me

I always had cold feet no matter the rating, then a ranger at Yosemite pointed out I was sliding in head-first with the foot box at my shoulders. Has anyone else missed something this obvious in their gear for way too long?
